The human gut is home to a complex ecosystem of microorganisms known as the gut microbiome. This community of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microbes plays a significant role in digestion, metabolism, and overall health. A healthy gut microbiome aids in the efficient breakdown of food, allowing for the absorption of vital nutrients. These nutrients, particularly vitamins and minerals, are essential not only for energy but also for the optimal functioning of the immune system.

When digestion runs smoothly, the body can absorb nutrients effectively.
